Former World No.1 James Willstrop has had a sparkling career, amassing 18 PSA World Tour titles in addition to spending 11 months at the summit of the World Rankings.
After an injury stricken two years that saw him drop out of the world’s top 20, Willstrop returned to top form at last month’s PSA Men’s World Championship where he stunned top seed Mohamed Elshorbagy in the pair’s third round clash in what is arguably one of the biggest World Championship shocks the sport has seen.
We sat down with ‘The Marksman’ who spoke candidly about how he felt taking the World No.1 spot, the pride and honour of representing England at the Commonwealth Games and his take on his injuries.
