Coleman and Delierre do battle

Coleman Claims Holtrand Title After Marathon 3-Game Finale

England’s Ben Coleman collected the seventh title of his career to date on the PSA World Tour after coming through an epic 130-minute three-game final with local favourite Shawn Delierre to clinch the 2016 Holtrand Open, PSA M10 title, in the Canadian town of Medicine Hat.

Just 24 hours after surviving an equally tough 98-minute semi-final encounter with compatriot Nathan Lake, in which he fought back from two-games down to prevail, Coleman demonstrated his new found confidence and maturity on court as he withstood everything Delierre could muster in what what a stop-start encounter.

The 24-year-old eventually secured the title courtesy of an 11-9, 13-11, 12-10 scoreline that saw him notch his first ever victory over the experienced Canadian campaigner, having lost out in their two previous PSA encounters, and boost his hopes of breaking into the top 50 in the rankings next month.

Result – Final
[1] Ben Coleman (ENG) bt [2] Shawn Delierre (CAN) 3-0: 11-9, 13-11, 12-10 (130m)
