BritOpen Update: Marwan Through After Ghosal Injury
#PSAWorldTour
Egypt’s Marwan Elshorbagy moved through to the quarter-final of the 2016 Allam British Open after an ankle injury to his opponent, Indian No.1 Saurav Ghosal, ended the encounter after two games.
Ghosal, who sustained the injury during his fixture with World No.10 Mathieu Castagnet in the previous round, struggled to move freely increasingly as the match wore on and he eventually retired after Elshorbagy had built up a two-game lead, winning both by an 11-6 scoreline.
