Tomlinson Lifts Third Straight Title after Ukrainian Cup Triumph

England’s Millie Tomlinson claimed her third successive PSA World Tour title after beating Anna Klimundova in the final of the Harrow Ukrainian Squash Cup, PSA W5 tournament – becoming the first woman to win four Tour titles in 2016.

The World No.37 had already managed a trio of triumphs at the Edinburgh Sports Club Open, the GillenMarkets Irish Squash Open and the Jersey Squash Classic this year, so came into her final encounter with Klimundova full of confidence after also failing to drop a game as the eased past the field in Kiev.

Meanwhile, number six seed Klimundova had only lost a solitary game against Julianne Courtice in the opening round, and she followed that up with routine victories over Nadiia Usenko and Nikki Todd in the quarter-final and semi-final, respectively.

Tomlinson was in control throughout the pair’s final encounter though, and dominated proceedings in Kiev as she stormed to an 11-5, 11-5, 11-7 victory.

Her win extends her unbeaten run to 12 matches, and the Derby-born 24-year-old has now lifted five PSA World Tour titles throughout the 2015/16 season.
