Ali Farag celebrates during the 2016 Allam British Open

Egypt’s Farag Signs Dunlop Deal

Egyptian World No.9 Ali Farag has signed a deal with Dunlop Sport which will see him use Dunlop squash rackets with immediate effect.

The 24-year-old graduated from Harvard University in May 2014 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the sport’s rising stars, claiming nine PSA World Tour titles in addition to breaking into the world’s top 10 in May of this year.

“It’s all too exciting,” said Farag.

“I never dreamt I would be sponsored by Dunlop Sport. I grew up watching and looking up to Jonathon Power, Amr Shabana, Ramy Ashour, Nick Matthew and Greg Gaultier who have all represented Dunlop during their careers.

“I am proud to associate my name with those legends and the Dunlop brand and I’m looking forward to a successful partnership with Dunlop.”

Dunlop Head of Marketing, David Newbury, added: “Ali is a fantastic player with huge potential and we are delighted to have strengthened the Dunlop Pro Player Team, playing on the PSA Tour alongside Dunlop Ambassadors Greg Gaultier – World No.2 and Nick Matthew – World No.4.

“Ali stands out as one of the brightest rising stars in squash and sets himself apart with his personality, his outstanding sportsmanship and fair play. He has his sights firmly set on being World No.1. We look forward to supporting Ali in his career.”
