The official racket of the PSA World Tour, the Dunlop Biomimetic Pro GTS 130 boasts new technology in the build such as the inclusion of ‘biofibre’ on the shaft, to reduce shot vibration, and an ‘aeroskin’ covering on the frame, to reduce drag.
The Pro GTS 130 is designed to deliver a steady balance between power and control, as you’d expect from an established brand like Dunlop, the choice of stars such as Nick Matthew and Gregory Gaultier.
As with most Dunlop rackets, if you already play with them and are a brand supporter, the GTS 130 will likely appeal.
The 470cm2 head-size is one of the smallest around, meaning the GTS 130 is aimed at players who are already playing at a more advanced level. When you pick it up and start to play it is immediately evident that this racket is less forgiving than many others out there on the market – so if you’re just starting out, look elsewhere.
When you do time the stroke right, the PRO GTS provides lots of control, especially in the front-court, but when your line is slightly out the results are much less favourable, with delicately aimed shots proving difficult, especially when under pressure.
While it can’t be considered a heavyweight player when it comes to raw power, when struck clean the Dunlop offers some of the best control out there.
For High control, Build quality
Against Cost, Small head size, Lack of power
