A number of respected names within sport and the media have come out in support of squash after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that the sport would not be included in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The decision, made yesterday (August 3), means that baseball/softball, karate, skateboarding, sports climbing and surfing will instead be staged in Tokyo in four year’s time.
Squash has now missed out on Olympic inclusion for a third time in a row and the decision comes after the Tokyo Olympic Games Organising Committee opted to omit squash from the list of recommended sports last September.
