We’ll be doing an in-depth review ahead of the next issue of SquashXtra, due out September, but here’s our first look.

Designed in conjunction with World No.5 Miguel Angel Rodriguez, the Dynergy AP 125 introduces a series of new technologies to Tecnifibre’s range of rackets.
First off is the Arch Power system – hence the name AP – which sees the strings wrapped around a newly introduced arch element on the throat of the racket – in a similar fashion to the Powerbite series of rackets from Prince. The AP 125 is the first racket from Tecnifibre to use the technology which should, in theory, result in a racket that generates extra power due the marginally increased length of string in the bed whilst maintaining good control by keeping the strings grouped closely together.
The string pattern and fan style, combined with the 490cm2 head size, should also result in a racket with a fairly generous sweet spot in play.
Alongside that the neck and throat of the racket are much thicker – courtesy of the aptly named Jumbo Shaft technology – than most other rackets out there on the market. Being 38% thicker than their Carboflex series you immediately get a very different feel in hand with the Dynergy AP 125 while the increased thickness should also add additional stability through the shot.
The third element that is new in this racket is the string, with the AP 125 coming pre-strung with Tecnifibre’s new DNAMX 1.20mm string.
Look out for a more detailed play review coming soon
