Courtesy of the folks over at Eye Rackets we've recently received a copy of the new Eye Rackets X.Lite 120 Control racket.
Here's our first look at the racket which is used and endorsed by Egyptian legend and 4x World Champion Amr Shabana.
Eye Rackets X.Lite 120 Control
Listed Weight 120g
Head Size 490cm2
Listed Balance Even Balance
Stringing Pattern 14×18
Target Play Style All round
Endorsed by 4x World Champion Amr Shabana and carrying the Maestro’s signature on the throat, this is an updated version of Eye’s leading racket from 2015 – carrying a brand new and more edgy looking graphic for 2016 built on big, blocky colours.
The X.Lite refers to the closed throat – with Eye also offering an open throat range called the V.Lite – while the Control refers to the 14×18 stringing pattern as the same racket frame is also available in a 12×17 stringing pattern, which should offer more organic power that the Control.
Weighing a reported 120grams – with Eye claiming the removal of the bumper strips and use of patented paint technology helps them maintain a light weight finished product – and with a 490cm2 head size, the Control should offer players a forgiving racket that suits all playing styles.
The beam (width) in the new edition looks to be a little thicker than in the 2015 model, which should help add more stability and power to the shot and the new model comes pre-gripped with Eye's X.Tacky – an upgrade on the supplied grip seen on past rackets – while the butt of the handle has a subtle touch of gold added for 2016.
