Courtesy of the folks over at Eye Rackets we've recently received a copy of the new Eye Rackets V.Lite 125 Control racket.
Look out for a more in-depth review coming soon but here's our first look at one of Eye’s predicted top sellers for the 2016 season.
Eye Rackets V.Lite 125 Control
Listed Weight 125g
Head Size 477cm2
Listed Balance Head Heavy
Stringing Pattern 14×18
Target Play Style Control
The racket of choice for entertaining Egyptian talent Mazen Hesham – and carrying the Black Falcon's signature and personalised logo on the throat – the V.Lite 125 Control has undergone a cosmetic transformation for the 2016 season, carrying a new strong, blocky graphic in Hesham's signature colours of black and yellow.
With a teardrop shape and 14×18 fan-styled stringing pattern, the 125 has one of the smallest head-sizes in the Eye range – which would suggest that this racket will be aimed at the more precise and experienced player than many of their other offerings.
The density of the stringing pattern should lead to a racket that provides bags of accuracy and precision in the shot, while the marginally head heavy balance should ensure there isn't too much power sacrificed by aiding the weight of stroke – although we'd expect the sweet spot to be much smaller and less forgiving than the likes of the X.Lite 120 Control.
The frame feels quite stiff, again adding to the racket’s billing as a ‘direct response’ racket, while it comes pre-strung with Eye’s own strings and pre-gripped with their X.Tacky grip.
