Event round-up: Urquhart triumphs in Monte Carlo as Camacho takes Florida trophy

Donna Urquhart became the third Australian to lift the Monte Carlo Classic trophy after victory in the 2017 edition of the event.

Urquhart followed in the footsteps of compatriots Sarah FitzGerald and Natalie Grinham as she saw off the challenge of young Egyptian Zeina Mickawy in the final.

But the experienced Australian top seed had to battle back from 2-1 down to World Junior runner-up Mickawy before emerging victorious 7-11, 11-4, 10-12, 11-2, 11-9 in 53 minutes.

Jesus Camacho with the Life Time Florida Open trophy

Number five seed Jesus Camacho came out on top in the Life Time Florida Open final after a straight games win over David Baillargeon. The victory sees Camacho claim his second title in a row after he prevailed in the Securian Open at the beginning of December.

The Mexican, who came through a hard-fought five-setter in the semi-finals to defeat England's Joe Green, had no such problems in the Florida final, defeating the Canadian fourth seed Baillargeon 11-6, 11-6, 11-7.
