Disciplinary Update: Sharpes Suspended While Four Players are Fined

England’s World No.74 Charles Sharpes has been suspended from the PSA World Tour for three months following a breach of the PSA Code of Conduct in relation to rules 10.4.M ‘Verbal Abuse’ and 10.4.I ‘Audible Obscenity’ during the 2017 Qatar Classic.

Meanwhile four players – Marwan ElShorbagy, Ryan Cuskelly, George Parker and Iker Pajares Bernabeu – have been fined for offences ranging between visible obscenity and abuse of racket or equipment.

Action: Player suspended for three months

Iker Pajares Bernabeu (ESP)
Offence: Breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.J ‘Visible Obscenity’ during the 2017 Qatar Circuit No.5
Action: £175 fine with a further £175 suspended fine

Ryan Cuskelly (AUS)
Offence: Breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.I ‘Audible Obscenity’ during the 2017 World Championships
Additional breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.L ‘Abuse of Racket or Equipment’
Action: £150 fine with a further £150 suspended fine

Marwan ElShorbagy (EGY)
Offence: Breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.O ‘Unsportsmanlike Conduct’ during the 2018 Motor City Open
Additional breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.L ‘Abuse of Racket or Equipment’
Action: £100 fine with a further £100 suspended fine

George Parker (ENG)
Offence: Breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.L ‘Abuse of Racket or Equipment’ during the 2017 World Championship
Action: £50 fine with a further £50 suspended fine

Tesni Evans (WAL)
Offence: Breach of PSA Code of Conduct 10.4.L ‘Abuse of Racket or Equipment’ during the 2018 Cleveland Classic
Action: Player warned about future behaviour

Emyr Evans (WAL)
