Tickets are on sale now for the 2018 edition of the Oracle NetSuite Open, which will welcome a number of the world’s leading squash players back to San Francisco between September 27 – October 2.
Last season saw men’s World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy and women’s World No.8 Sarah-Jane Perry take the prestigious titles, while stars such as United States No.2 Amanda Sobhy and former World No.1s Laura Massaro, Gregory Gaultier and Ramy Ashour are amongst the former winners.
First and second round action will be split between the Bay Club Redwood Shores, Squash Zone, the Bay Club San Francisco, the Olympic Club and the University Club while the quarter-finals onwards will be held at the glass showcourt erected on Embarcadero Plaza from September 29.
The women’s event will make history as the first ever PSA World Tour Silver tournament under the new PSA tour structure, while the men’s event is just the third PSA World Tour Gold tournament. Over $200K worth of prize money will be split across the two tournaments, which is over a $50K increase compared to the 2017 instalment.
“The Oracle NetSuite Open has helped to establish San Francisco as a destination for world-class squash and we’re looking forward to hosting the tournament for a ninth year,” said Tournament Promoter John Nimick.
“The stunning glass court on Embarcadero Plaza is one of the most picturesque locations on the PSA World Tour and is a fitting venue to showcase the world’s top players once again.”
Tickets start from $20 and can be purchased via the tournament website.
Action from the glass court will also be broadcast live on SQUASHTV (Rest of World) and Eurosport Player (Europe only).
