Egypt’s former World No.3 Omar Mosaad and England’s former World No.9 Daryl Selby will meet each other in the final of the QSF No.1 PSA Bronze Tournament in Doha, Qatar.
Top seed Mosaad saw off England’s World No.44 George Parker by a 3-1 scoreline. The 22-year-old Englishman took the opening game before Mosaad utilised all of his experience to take the next three games and secure a place in the final at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.
The Egyptian will now face England’s Selby after he defeated Scotland’s Greg Lobban in a testing five-game encounter.
Lobban took the first game before Selby battled back to take a 2-1 lead, however, the Scotsman showed he was not going down without a fight as he came back to the level the scores and push the match to a tense fifth game.
However, it was Selby who was able to utilise his vast experience to take the crucial game and secure a place in the final – his first since 2016 when he won the Macau Open.
Played some good squash today against an ever improving opponent. Throughly enjoyable battle on there and very glad to sneak it in the end. Been a while but happy to be in another
