World No.4 Tarek Momen booked his place in the CCI International final.


Tarek Momen and Fares Dessouky were both triumphant in their semi final matches at the CCI International 2019 in Mumbai.

The No.1 seed, Tarek Momen, booked his place in the final with ease, beating Indian home favourite Ramit Tandon in three games.

The Egyptian, and World No.4, was put under a lot of pressure throughout the game, winning out 11-7, 11-7, 11-7.

Dessouky, who is returning from a 14-month layoff through a knee injury, was able to overcome Englishman James Willstrop in the other semi final.

Fares Dessouky (l) dispatched James Willstrop in 49 minutes to advance to the CCI final.

The No.4 seed took a two game lead, before the former World No.1 Willstrop won the third to send the match into a fourth.

However, Dessouky won the decisive game with ease to secure his passage through to the final, winning 11-8, 11-9, 8-11, 11-4.
