Momen Takes CCI International Title

Egypt’s World No.4 Tarek Momen claimed his sixth PSA title after he defeated compatriot Fares Dessouky in the final of the CCI International PSA Silver tournament, held in Mumbai.

Momen has been enjoying the best squash of his career so far this season and added to his trophy haul with victory in India courtesy of a 3-2 win over fellow Egyptian Dessouky.

The World No.4 got off to a strong start to take the first game, before former World No.8 Dessouky – who was competing in his first tournament since a 14-month injury lay-off – battled back twice to push the match to a tense decider.

However, Momen was able to hold his nerve to take the victory in 80 minutes and pick up his second PSA title of the season, after claiming his biggest tournament win at the Channel VAS Championships at St George’s Hill earlier in the season.

Result: Final
[1] Tarek Momen (EGY) bts [4] Fares Dessouky (EGY) 3-2: 11-7, 7-11, 12-10, 10-12, 11-7 (80m)
