Reeham Sedky capped her return to the court with a title

Weekend Round-Up: Sedky Wins on Return After Five Months Out

Reeham Sedky won the second title of her short career, in her first tournament of 2019, as she overcame Sabrina Sobhy in the final of the Queen City Open.

The all-American final saw Sedky beat Sobhy in straight games in Regina, north of the border.

The No.5 seed won the tournament having not dropped a game in any of her four matches, while Sobhy made it through to the final despite being unseeded.

Sedky needed just 126 minutes on court throughout the tournament, and had already beaten No.4 seed Lucy Turmel and No.2 seed Samantha Cornett on her way to the final.

The second women’s tournament of the weekend took place in France, as Milou van Der Heijden won the Annecy Rose Open.
