France’s World No.65 Victor Crouin and Malaysia’s World No.48 Sivasangari Subramaniam have been named the men’s and women’s PSA Players of the Month, respectively, for July.
Subramaniam, claims the women’s accolade after she stormed to victory at the Australian Open.
The 20-year-old overcame Japan’s Satomi Watanabe in four-games in the final to take home her 11th PSA title of her career. Subramaniam has a strong record against the player from Japan and continued her 100% record with her fifth victory over Watanabe.
The win also marks her second successive title after winning her last tournament at the Racquet Club Pro-Series back in April earlier this year.
Crouin with the Tasmanian Open trophy
Marseille-born Crouin enjoyed a purple patch of form last month after he claimed two titles, defeating Malaysia’s Mohd Syafiq Kamal in the final on both occasions at the Australian Open and the Tasmanian Open.
The 20-year-old Frenchman stormed through the opposition at both tournaments as he despatched Kamal in straight-games in both finals to take home his sixth and seventh PSA titles. The win also secured his third successive title after winning the Mulgrave Country Club Victorian Open Championships at the end of June.
