Wales’ World No.9 Tesni Evans was in spellbinding form as she dispatched Hong Kong’s World No.17 Joey Chan in straight games to reach her second FS Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships quarter finals.
The win for the Welshwoman never looked in doubt as she quickly put Chan to the sword in 22 minutes to record an 11-5, 11-5, 11-3 victory and will now take on World No.5 Nouran Gohar for a place in the semi-finals.
That's an absolute howitzer from

“I never normally get off that quickly, so I’m really happy,” said Welshwoman Evans afterwards.
“I think last year my average match time was like 60 minutes. I’m really happy, my first round was really tough on the side courts, but I think that stood me in good stead because I was really ready to play today after being pushed on Sunday.
“I love it here, the city is so great and the court plays really true and if you find the corners it glues to the wall which is exactly what it should be like. I just feel really comfortable here and love coming back every year.
“It’s going to be a tough match against Nouran Gohar, I saw her match earlier and she played really well. She had a really good backend of the season, so it will be a tough match.”
