The stunning backdrop of the Pyramids to the glass court

Women's Worlds & Egyptian Open: How To Watch Live

World class squash descends on Pyramids of Giza this week when the CIB PSA Women’s World Championship 2019-2020 and the CIB Egyptian Squash Open take place from October 24-November 1 with action LIVE on SQUASHTV (Rest of World) and Eurosport Player (Europe only), as well as broadcasters around the world and the official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour.

The two events will take place in front of the stunning backdrop of the Pyramids of Giza, the first time the PSA World Tour has visited the historic site since the Al-Ahram International in 2016. It is also the first time either of the men’s or women’s World Championships have been held in Giza since 2006.

World No.2 Nour El Sherbini will be making her first appearance of the season, as she returns from a knee injury that kept her out of the first three major tournaments. The ‘Warrior Princess’ returns to defend the title she won in Chicago in March, as she aims to become a four-time World Champion.

World No.1 Raneem El Welily will be looking to take back the title she won in 2017, when she defeated Sherbini in the final in Manchester to win her first World Championship crown.

Two other Egyptians, in U.S. Open champion Nouran Gohar and China Open winner Nour El Tayeb will also be among the favourites to lift the title on home soil.

World No.3 Camille Serme is the leading non-Egyptian, with the likes of Joelle King, Sarah-Jane Perry, Amanda Sobhy, Tesni Evans and Annie Au looking to end the four-year run of Egyptian dominance at the World Championships.

In the men’s event, the CIB Egyptian Squash Open, World No.1 and reigning World Champion Ali Farag will be the favourite to lift another major trophy.

He will have competition from the last man to win at the Pyramids, Karim Abdel Gawad, who is the No.3 seed for the event, with No.2 seed Tarek Momen also battling for the title.

SQUASHTV’s coverage of the glass court action from both tournaments, live from in front of the Pyramids of Giza, will begin at 17:30 (GMT+2) on Saturday, October 26.

Prior to that, you will be able to keep up with live scores from both events on the first two days here.
