Canada Cup: Momen Beats Coll to Claim Title

World No.3 Tarek Momen made it back-to-back wins over World No.5 Paul Coll to capture the 2020 Troilus Gold Canada Cup in Toronto.

Egypt’s Momen overcame the Kiwi by a 3-0 margin to win the PSA Men’s World Championship in Qatar in November, and he repeated that scoreline in Canada to claim his eighth PSA Tour title.

Momen boasted a 4-3 lead on the pair’s head-to-head record coming into the encounter and he extended that advantage with a 15-13, 11-5, 11-8 victory in 53 minutes.

Momen is celebrating his second PSA World Tour title win of the season and his first in 2020 after losing out to World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy in the final of last month’s J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions.

Both Momen and Coll will appear at the Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family between February 27 – March 4. All the action from the glass court at the University Club of Chicago will be streamed live on SQUASHTV (rest of world), Eurosport Player (Europe only) and the official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour (excluding Europe and Japan).
