Nouran Gohar (left) takes on Hollie Naughton (right) in round two of the Black Ball Open

Injury Sees Gohar Withdraw from Black Ball Open Third Round

World No.2 Nouran Gohar has been forced to pull out of tonight’s CIB Black Ball Women’s Squash Open third round encounter against fellow Egyptian Nada Abbas due to a foot injury.

Gohar struggled with the problem during her round two win over Hollie Naughton and is unable to take to the court tonight.

A walkover is awarded to World No.27 Abbas, who advances to the quarter-finals of a PSA Platinum event for the first time. She will take on World No.7 Sarah-Jane Perry for a place in the last four.

It was the second of tonight’s matches to be called off after an ankle injury saw World No.15 Yathreb Adel pull out of her third round fixture with World No.1 Raneem El Welily.
