PSA Reaches 500K Followers on Facebook

The official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour has reached 500,000 followers as part of a 34% increase in total followers across all of the Professional Squash Association’s (PSA) social media channels over the past 12 months.

Since signing a multi-year agreement with Facebook in February 2019 to broadcast live matches from the PSA Tour via Facebook Watch in territories outside of Europe and Japan, squash fans have consumed over 85 million minutes of PSA’s video content on Facebook.

The PSA now has over 750,000 followers across the association’s owned social media platforms split between Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

“Social media is a key part of our strategy and allows us to showcase our sport and athletes to new audiences, so we are thrilled to reach this milestone,” said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.

“Our partnership with Facebook has ensured that we have been able to increase squash’s visibility, with more people watching squash than ever before.

“We are constantly looking at how we can improve and expand our offering to fans to further highlight the exploits of our top-class athletes across the globe and I look forward to watching us grow our digital presence even further.”
