Iranian Navy Army: Tournament Preview

The first of four events to kick off this week will be the Commemoration of the Martyrs of the Iranian Navy Army, which takes place in Tehran, Iran, from Thursday through to Saturday.

The 24-strong draw all hail from Iran, with the tournament being restricted to just domestic entries due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic around the world.

Sajad Zareian Jahromi, the World No.391, will be the top seed for the tournament and will have a bye through to the second round, along with the rest of the top eight seeds.

Jahromi will be looking to win a second career title, having lifted the Iran Squash Federation Peace and Friendship Cup back in 2017. He will face competition for the crown from Navid Maleksabet, Mohammad Kashani and Amin Ataei, all within 125 places of 23-year-old in the World Rankings.
