England’s Eddie Charlton celebrated his second PSA World Tour title in Australia in a week when he beat New Zealander Evan Williams in today’s final of the Caboolture Open, the PSA Challenger 5 event at Caboolture Squash & Fitness Club in Caboolture.

The 24-year-old No2 seed from Nottingham was tested for 58 minutes in the semis before overcoming club-mate Lewis Walters, the fourth seed, to make his 11th career final – but his third in a row in Australia.

Williams, 23, from Wellington, saw off unseeded Japanese opponent Yuta Fukui in the other semi in straight games – and, now in his fourth Tour final since July, was looking for his maiden title win.

But Charlton (pictured) was too strong, winning 11-4, 11-5, 11-7 in 40 minutes to add the Caboolture title to the Mackay Open trophy he won last week.
