Chairman Cup 2: Tournament Preview

The first event of the week on the Challenger Tour comes from the Hong Kong Squash Centre, with the Cairman Cup 2 taking place from Wednesday 5 to Saturday 8 May.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event is limited to domestic-only entrants, meaning only those based in Hong Kong have been allowed to enter. Singapore’s Paige Hill is the only non-Hong Kong player in the draw.

That means that Liu Tsz-Ling and Tsz Fung Yip will be the top seeds for the event, with the former having taken home the spoils from the first event at this venue six weeks ago, where she beat Tze Lok Ho in the final.

Chi Him Wong, the winner of the men’s event in March, will be the No.5 seed for this week’s event, with Yip, Max Lee, Henry Leung and Tsz Kwan Lau, the man he beat in the final, all above him in the seedings.

The event takes place from Wednesday 5 to Saturday 8 May at the Hong Kong Squash Centre. Follow the PSA Challenger Tour on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates from the event.

Action from the semi-finals and finals will be streamed on the PSA Challenger Tour YouTube channel, where you can watch Challenger Tour action, and interviews with rising stars.
