Carlisle Squash Club Open: Tournament Preview

The first of two tournaments taking place on English soil this week is the Carlisle Squash Club Open, which will be played from Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 July.

The Challenger 5 level tournament was available for those currently living in the United Kingdom, with domestic restrictions on the entry list due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

16 men will be aiming for glory at Carlisle Squash Club this week, with Scotland’s Rory Stewart being the top seed for the tournament.

The World No.119 is one of four Scots in the draw, alongside Fergus Richards, Alasdair Prott and Chris Leiper, and Stewart will be the favourite to take home the title on Friday.

His nearest challenger will be the English trio of Miles Jenkins, Sam Todd and Harry Falconer, while Elliott Morris Devred is the sole Welsh representative in the event.

The event takes place from Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 July at the Carlisle Squash Club, and you can follow the PSA Challenger Tour on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates from the event.
