The first of two European events this week on the Challenger Tour is the Heroes Graz Open, a Challenger 10 level event taking place in the Austrian city of Graz.
The tournament is stacked with 11 members of the world’s top 100, and players from 12 different nationalities, including Egypt, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Spain and the host nation, Austria.
India’s Mahesh Mangaonkar will be the top seed for the tournament, with the World No.57 coming off a semi-final finish at the Madeira International last week. Moustafa El Sirty took the victory in that same event, his fourth win of 2021, and he will be aiming for wins in back-to-back weeks as the No.5 seed.
Spain’s Bernat Jaume, Japan’s Ryosei Kobayashi and Hong Kong’s Henry Leung make up the rest of the top four seedings, while Austrian No.1 Aqeel Rehman will be the home favourite, and the tournament’s No.8 seed.
Action from Graz will be streamed throughout the week on the PSA Challenger Tour YouTube channel, where you can watch Challenger Tour action, and interviews with rising stars.
