Dessouky Withdraws From Oracle Netsuite Open

Due to injury, Egypt’s World No.7 Fares Dessouky has pulled out from the upcoming Oracle Netsuite Open, which takes place from September 23-27 at Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco.

Dessouky will not feature in the PSA World Tour Gold tournament, due to the injury that saw him retire from his second round match with Shahjahan Khan in the CIB Egyptian Open earlier this week.

Welshman Joel Makin moves into the top eight seeds, replacing Dessouky, and will now face Indian No.1 Saurav Ghosal in the opening round of the tournament.

Egypt’s Youssef Ibrahim comes into the draw for the PSA Gold level event, and he will face British Open champion Paul Coll in the first round.
