The quarter-finals of the U.S. Open presented by Truist take place today at the Arlen Specter Squash Center in Philadelphia.
On Court GE, World No.1 Nour El Sherbini gets things underway, against France’s Melissa Alves. USA’s Olivia Fiechter and Belgium’s Nele Gilis will face off in the other women’s match, guaranteeing an unseeded player in the semi-finals on Tuesday evening in Philadelphia.
The top two in the world in the men’s game, in Ali Farag and Mohamed ElShorbagy, will also feature on Court GE this evening. Farag takes on Welshman Joel Makin, while the ‘Beast of Alexandria’ does battle with Peru’s Diego Elias.
It will be Egypt against New Zealand and England on Court GW, starting with Mostafa Asal and Paul Coll, as the pair do battle once again following their epic encounters at the Egyptian and Black Ball Opens in 2020. Joelle King follows her fellow Kiwi, on to court, and she will take on Egypt’s Hania El Hammamy.
The English duo of Sarah-Jane Perry and James Willstrop will also be in action on Court GW, with the latter taking on former World Champion Tarek Momen, before Perry takes on World No.2 Nouran Gohar for a place in the last four.
