Just two players remain in the CIB Squash Open Black Ball 2021. Nour El Sherbini and Hania El Hammamy have successfully navigated through to the final of the PSA Gold event in Cairo.
World No.1 Sherbini defeated surprise semi-finalist Georgina Kennedy from England 3-0. Whilst Hania El Hammamy was had a 2-1 lead against No.2 seed Nouran Gohar, but unfortunately Gohar sustained an injury during the match and couldn’t continue.

Order of play
Women's final line up for the CIB Squash Open Black Ball 2021
Tonight’s final will be the seventh meeting between the two Egyptians, with El Sherbini holding a 4-2 win record of her younger opponent. But Hammamy claimed the most recent victory when they faced each other in October’s US Open semi-final.
Head to Head stats for women's final
El Sherbini is still yet to drop a game in the event. After a comfortable round two performance against Belgium’s Nele Gilis, El Sherbini ended the comeback of Nour El Tayeb as she returned to action after giving birth to her first child. In last night’s semi-final, the World No.1 impressively defeated giant killer Georgina Kennedy to make it through to the final.
World No.4, El Hammamy, produced two clinical performances to defeat compatriots Nada Abbas and Rowan Elaraby to advance to the semi-finals. She then faced Nouran Gohar, who she had never previously beaten on the PSA World Tour. El Hammamy was leading her compatriot 2-1 but Gohar picked up an injury which unfortunately forced her to retire from the match.
Squash Levels stats
World No.1 El Sherbini unsurprisingly sits at the top of the Squash Levels Power rankings coming into this match, with El Hammamy at #3.
The expected result is a 3-1 victory to the reigning World Champion. But can El Hammamy replicate her US Open victory over El Sherbini and take home the title in her third final at the Black Ball Sporting Club?
