Lucky Loser Nathan Lake in action

Houston Day Three: How To Watch Live

The bottom half of round two gets underway today at the Houston Open 2022. Play starts at 17:00 (GMT-6) with more seeded players starting their 2022 campaigns.

World No.7 Marwan ElShorbagy opens the day’s play as he takes on Mexico’s Cesar Salazar for a place in the quarter finals. The Egyptian has won the last five meetings between the two but will Salazar be able to cause an upset?

Frenchman Gregoire Marche also gets his tournament underway tonight as he plays powerful Egyptian Omar Mosaad. Marche is currently at his highest world ranking of No.12 and will be looking to continue his positive progress towards the World’s top ten.

Englishman Nathan Lake gets a second chance in the event as he takes on USA’s Shahjahan Kahn in round two. Lake lost out to Youssef Soliman in round one but due to the late withdrawal of Mohamed ElShorbagy, Lake received the lucky loser spot to advance to round two.

Nicolas Mueller from Switzerland was victorious in round one as he defeated USA’s Faraz Khan 3-2. He now faces talented Egyptian Mazen Hesham in the last 16.
