SQUASH ON FIRE OPEN: HOW TO WATCH THE QUARTER FINALS LIVE

We’ve reached the quarter final stage at the Squash On Fire Open 2022, being played from Washington D.C. A multitude of seeding shocks filled day two setting up an exciting quarter final line up.

Play will begin from 11:00 (GMT -5) live from Washington, D.C with both courts available to watch live on SQUASHTV, brought to you by the new Squash TV Lite kit.

Both No.1 seeds progressed through to the quarter finals. Mohamed ElShorbagy defeated England’s Patrick Rooney in a tough four game battle to set up a match with compatriot Omar Mosaad. El Sherbini had a similar opening match as she beat a spirited Farida Mohamed 3-1 and will now face Belgium’s Nele Gilis in the quarter finals.

There is an all-British battle to look forward to as No.2 seed Joel Makin will take on ‘The Marksman’ James Willstrop for a semi-final place. Makin currently leads Willstrop 2-1 in the PSA head to heads, but you can never write off last year’s runner up, Willstrop.

Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam caused an upset on day two as she defeated Canada’s No.8 seed, Danielle Letourneau, in a 45 minute 3-2. She has set up a quarter final match with No.3 seed Nour El Tayeb who is playing in only her second event since becoming a mother.
