Abdulrahman Al-Malki became the third Qatari man inside the world’s top 100 at the start of 2022.
He featured in the qualifying draws of the Qatar Classic in the early years of his career, including making it to the main draw of the 2007 event, where he lost out to Peter Barker in the opening round.
After featuring mainly on the Qatari circuit over the next decade or so, he appeared in the first round of the Qatar Classic in 2018, 2020 and 2021, as well as finishing runner-up at the QSF 3 and QSF 4 in 2020, losing out to Syed Azlan Amjad on both occasions. His appearances at those same events the next year helped him move into the world’s top 100 for the first time.
