Gregoire Marche captured his first PSA World Tour title at the Salzburg Open in 2008 and followed that up with a win at the Hemubo Squash Trophy later on that year.
He went through a barren spell towards the end of 2008 but sprung back into action at the start of 2009, earning victory at the XI Open Internacional D’Squash Esportiu Rocafort in January. Marche won his first PSA M5 event in April 2011, beating compatriot Joan Lezaud 3-0 in the final of the PSA de Baillargues.
Following a strong first half of 2013, in which he reached the quarter-final of the PSA M35 event, the Grasshopper Cup, Marche broke into the top 30 in the World Rankings for the first time. 2014 saw Marche reach the quarter-final stage just once at the Open de Squash Financiere Banque Nationale but got off to a strong start to 2015 by finishing in the same place in February’s Pittsburgh Open.
Marche made it to the semi-finals of the Andorra Open in 2015, where he lost out to World No.1 Karim Abdel Gawad. However, the Frenchman went on to win the Open International De Squash De Nantes in September 2015 beating Finland’s Henrik Mustonen to the title. The following year, Marche defended his title successfully, this time beating England’s Chris Simpson 3-1 in the final to retain his crown.
Marche then reached the last eight of the NetSuite Open and Qatar Classic in the latter part of 2016, before going onto to win a third consecutive Open International de Squash de Nantes in 2017. He could not win a fourth straight, though, losing out in the quarter finals to Declan James. Marche secured the biggest win of his career at the Three Rivers Capital Pittsburgh Open in February 2019.
The Frenchman secured a second victory of the 2018-2019 campaign in his last appearance of the season, as he won on home soil at the 5R Montpellier Metropole Open, beating James Willstrop in the final. Thanks to those results, Marche made his way into the top 16 in the World Rankings for the first time his career.
His best result of the 2019-2020 campaign came at the Open de France - Nantes where he reached the semi-finals on home soil, thrilling the partizan crowd. He also made the last four the Pittsburgh Open, along with making it to the last 16 of four major tournaments during the campaign. In December 2019, Marche was a key member of the French side who finished in 3rd place at the WSF Men's World Team Squash Championships in Washington, D.C.
The Frenchman returned to the PSA World Tour following the enforced break for COVID-19 by reaching the last 16 of all four tournaments he entered. He did so at the Manchester Open, CIB Egyptian Open, Qatar Classic and CIB Black Ball Squash Open.
Marche reached a maiden Platinum level quarter final at the start of 2021, doing so at the El Gouna International Squash Open, before following that with his debut at the season-ending CIB PSA World Tour Finals. The Frenchman moved to a career high World No.12 in the September, before then reaching the last eight of both the Canary Wharf Classic and the CIB Squash Open Black Ball. He started 2022 with a first Gold semi-final appearance, doing so at the Houston Open.
