Ronald Palomino is a young Colombian who has already notched up multiple titles on Tour, and he broke inside the world’s top 100 for the first time at the end of 2021.
Palomino made his debut on Tour at the Betty Griffin Memorial Florida Open, and reached the quarter finals, before also making the same stage of the Bourbon Trail Event No.3 the next year. He also reached the last eight of the Resistencia Open on the Tour De Las Americas, Kiva Club Open and PSA BTMI Barbados Open in 2019.
After appearing just once on Tour in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Palomino then reached at least the last four of all six tournaments he played in the next year, including securing his first two wins as a professional. He started with a semi-final result at the Squash Colombia Challenger, before then winning the Colombia Squash Challenger, beating Edgar Ramirez Bautista in the final to claim his maiden title.
Semi-final results at the Colombian Open and the Equinox Boston Open followed, before he gained a second victory, winning the Guatemala Open Squash Tournament. He also featured in the third Guatemala Open event of the year, making the last four once again.
