Born in 2003, Nour Aboulmakarim is one of the youngest players currently sitting inside the top 100 in the World Rankings.
She started her career in 2018, at the age of just 15, and went on to reach the quarters of the Johannesburg Open a year later. That was followed with last four appearances at both the Keith Grainger Memorial UCT Squash Open Championships and the CIB El Shams - Egyptian Tour 1.
Aboulmakarim then made the last eight of the CIB Egyptian Tour 3 at the end of 2019, and featured at the CIB Black Ball Women’s Squash Open in 2020, her debut appearance at a Platinum level tournament.
Aboulmakarim returned to the Tour after its enforced suspension at the start of 2021, making the semi-finals of the first event on the Egyptian Challenger Tour. She then made the final of the Odense Open before grabbing her first victory on Tour, at the CIB Egyptian Challenger Tour 2, where she beat Kenzy Ayman in the final. After some more good results in the latter half of the year, Aboulmakarim broke into the top 70 for the first time in her career at the start of 2022.
