Joined the PSA World Tour in 2015 and went onto win his maiden PSA World Tour title later that year.
Malhotra secured his first title in style when he claimed a shock victory in straight games against number three seed Arthur Gaskin in the final of the Betty Griffin Memorial Florida Open in just his third ever PSA World Tour main draw.
The Indian then backed this up with a runner-up finish to Andrew Schnell at the Seattle Open before going onto claim back-to-back Tour titles. Malhotra came out on top in a tightly-contested fixture with tournament top seed Lewis Walters in the final of the Charlotte Open to secure his second successive title after securing the Malaysian Squash Tour I crown the month before.
2016 brought more high finishes for the Indian with a runner-up finish at the Texas Open Squash Championship when he lost out to Karim El Hammamy in straight games. The following year the Indian then went onto claim further titles with back-to-back wins at the North of Scotland Open and Abu Dhabi Open when he beat Mahesh Mangaonkar and Youssef Ibrahim respectively.
