Raphael Kandra's tally of PSA World Tour titles extends into double figures as he has proven himself to be one of the foremost Gemans within the sport.
Fürth-born Kandra opened his account by lifting the New South Wales Open in July 2011 but faced a two year trophy-drought until his Gas City Open triumph over top seed Jan Koukal in the final.
Kandra made history in January 2013 when he competed in the first ever all-German PSA World Tour final with Jens Schoor in the Rocafort Open – eventually losing in five games to his compatriot.
His fifth title came at the Gibraltar Open in 2014 and his victory at the Finnish Open in February 2015 saw him elevated into the world's top 50 in the March World Rankings.
Four months later he captured his 10th title, and his first PSA M15 crown, at the NZ Southern Open where he came back from 2-0 down in the final to triumph over Tsz Fung Yip.
However, Kandra had some mixed results for the rest of the year and suffered a number of first round exits.
Kandra secured his first ever Bankers Hall Club Pro Am, PSA M10 title at the third attempt after a fine 3-0 victory over Canadian No.1 Shawn Delierre in the final.
The German then backed this up with a semi-final appearance later that month at the Oregon Open where he lost out to Omar Abdel Meguid. During the rest of the year, Kandra suffered a mixed bag of results before lifting his 12th career title at the Cleveland Skating Club Open where he beat Canadian Andrew Schnell.
Kandra then made the last four of the Life Time Chicago Open, before winning the Sekisui Open in 2017, beating Mazen Gamal to lift the trophy. His best performance in a major came in 2018, where he reached the semi finals of the British Open, only to be defeated by the eventual victor, Miguel Rodriguez.
The German also reached the last four of the Montreal Open and the Wimbledon Club Squash Open as well as his impressive run in Hull. He was then beaten by Tarek Momen in the last 16 of both the Hong Kong Open and Black Ball Open to end his calendar year.
The German also reached the last 16 of several tournaments in the second half of the 2018-19 season, doing so at the Motor City Open, Canary Wharf Classic and DPD Open.
