Christopher Binnie is Jamaica’s most decorated ever squash player, having won several times on Tour during his career.
He made his debut on the Tour in 2012, and in just his third event as a professional, he won the British Virgin Islands Open Squash Championships after defeating Johan Bouquet in the final. He then made the semi-finals of the same event twelve months later in his best performance of 2013.
Binnie’s next appearance in a final came in 2015, where he was beaten by Eric Galvez in the final of the Hazlow Electronics Rochester ProAm. He did not have to wait too long for his second victory, though, as he claimed the Securian Open title later that year.
The Jamaican then finished runner-up at the TRAC Oil & Gas North of Scotland, before reaching the final of the Northern Ontario Open, Austrian Open and the Performance Auto Group White Oaks Court Classic before he claimed his third title at the Meadow Mill Athletic Club 25th Anniversary Celebration at the end of 2017.
Binnie’s good form continued into the next year, with a run of last eight appearances, and a run to the final of the Nash Cup. He then made the final of the CenterState Bank Marietta Open in 2019, in a run of making at least making the last eight in seven of eight events, including a victory at the Life Time Atlanta Open in 2020.
