Finnish Nationals star Olli Tuominen is one of the most recognisable names in Finnish squash.
The experienced Fin, from Helsinki, won titles at his first two PSA World Tour events when he took home both the Lakeshore Classic and Versilia Open.
His fifth title came at the Rennes Open in 2000 and he followed that up with another title in 2001.
Tuominen would face an agonising 7 year wait for his 7th PSA World Tour title but it came on home-soil at the Savcor Finnish Open in 2008, an event that he would go on to retain in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
February 2014 saw the Fin win an incredible record 15th successive Finnish Nationals title but he struggled to claim any PSA World Tour titles in 2015. September of that year saw him drop out of the world’s top 40 for the first time in 16 years.
In 2016, Tuominen went onto make a semi-final appearance in the Nash Cup, but was defeated by Peruvian Diego Ellias over four games.
In 2017 Finland’s Tuominen ended his PSA title drought when he lifted the Oregon Open – his first PSA title since 2013.
