Richie Fallows made his PSA World Tour bow in 2012 and has gone on to be a consistent performer.
He captured his maiden title at the 2014 Pilatus Cup and reached a second final later that year at the Park Estates Bexley Open but this time met defeat to Ben Coleman. London-born Fallows' 2014-15 season drew to a close with a semi-final finish at the Select Gaming Kent Open.
Four semi-final finishes in his last five PSA World Tour events of 2015 showed Fallows’ ability to reach the latter stages of tournaments and he dipped into the world’s top 70 for the first time in October of that year. In January 2016 Fallows became the first person since 1990 to lift the JW Cannon British Under 23 Open Crown with a 3-1 victory over Joel Makin.
Fallows’ next semi-final appearance came in 2016 at the Flo.Money Stortford Classic when he was beaten by Charles Sharpes over five games. He then went onto win the Belfast Open when he beat Lyell Fuller in straight games in the final after he dispatched Joeri Hapers and Yuri Farneti in the early stages of the tournament before overcoming Scotland’s Douglas Kempsell in a bruising five-game semi-final tie to set up a final clash with compatriot Fuller as he claimed his second PSA World Tour title.
The following year, Fallows claimed victory at the PSA Toulouse when he beat Kristian Frost over three games which saw him broke into the world’s top 60 for the first time in his career. A string of solid performances carried him into the top 50 in December 2017, and he won twice more the following year, claiming the Rhiwbina Welsh Open and the Cleveland Skating Club titles, the latter being the biggest of his career to date.
2019 saw Fallows achieve more victories, as he successfully retained his Welsh Open crown, before winning the Garavan’s West of Ireland Open. For two years after, the Englishman featured in only PSA World Tour events, with last 16 results at both the Pittsburgh Open and Motor City Open in 2020.
He returned to the Challenger Tour in the latter part of 2021, and took two more wins to add to his career tally. The Englishman was victorious on home soil at the Sumner Malik Memorial and the TWC Squash Squared Open, before also making it into the second round of the London Open in his final appearance of the calendar year.
