Baptiste Masotti is another member of the French contingent inside the top 50, and he featured for his nation in Washington, D.C. in 2019.
The Frenchman made his first appearance on the Tour in 2013, and in just his second main draw, he made the semi-finals of the Shepparton Open. His first final came a year later at the 2015 MRU Open, and further runner-up finishes followed at both the Summer and Winter Challenger in Helsinki.
Masotti claimed his first title in 2016, as he beat Asim Khan in the final of the Iran Squash Federation Kish Persian Gulf in 2016. He had four more runners-up finishes before his next win, m which came at the Remeo Helsinki Summer Challenger in 2017.
The Frenchman reached the semi-finals of the Open international de Squash de Nantes, a Challenger 30 event, in 2018, and then won three times in a six month spell. He took the Open International Niort Venise Verte, Carter Client Group & Assant Wealth Management - The Carter Classic, and the Crawford Fund Management LLC Open titles.
His breakthrough on the PSA World Tour came in October 2019, when he made it to the quarter-finals of the Platinum level CIB Egyptian Open, doing so in front of the Pyramids. He was rewarded with a spot in the French quartet for the WSF Men’s World Team Squash Championships in Washington, D.C. He has since made his way into the top 40 of the World Rankings.
