An experienced member of the PSA World Tour, Christopher Gordon has found success both personally and on the international scene.
He claimed his first title at the Japan Pro Squash Yokohama in 2009 and secured a silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in the doubles event with partner Julian Illingworth. Gordon followed that up with success at the El Salvador Open later that year and claimed his first PSA M15 crown in April 2013 at the Metro Open after overcoming Shan Le Roux.
New York native Gordon reached two semi-finals in 2015 but was unable to add to his PSA World Tour title. Gordon’s next final appearance came the following year at the Asociacion Chaquena de Squash Tour de las Americas - Regatas Resistencia Open where he lost out to Arturo Salazar over three games.
The American ended a three-year barren spell as he lived up to his number one seed status at the Ottawa Goodlife Open later on in the year, beating Michael McCue over four games, to secure his first title triumph since winning the 2013 NY Metro Open.
Gordon then finished runner up at the Tour De Las Americas Gobierno de la Provincia del Chaco Regatas Resistencia Open in 2017 after a defeat in straight games to Robertino Pezzota. The American also made the semi-finals of the Paraguay Open, before taking another victory in 2018, at the Harneys BVI Squash Championships. He also reached the final of the Securian Open later that year, before making three consecutive finals in 2019.
Gordon won the Wakefield Open after defeating Michael McCue in the final, before also reaching the finals of the 2nd Novum Energy Texas Open Squash Championships and the 4th Edition of the PSA BTMI Barbados Open.
The American reached the semi-finals of the Linear Logistics Bankers Hall Club Pro Am and the quarters of the Oregon Open in his only two appearances on Tour in 2020, before also making the last four of the Assurance Financial Austin South Squash Open and the final of the Atlanta Open in his first two events of 2021.
After featuring at the PSA World Championships in Chicago, Gordon then made another final, this time at the Colombian Open, but lost out to Canada’s David Baillargeon. He also made the final of the 1st Guatemala Open Squash Tournament, in what was his last appearance of 2021.
