Samantha Teran is Mexico's greatest ever female player and is one of the most experienced players on the PSA World Tour.
After first joining the Tour in 2000, Teran would go on to lift her first title in 2003 at the Pittsburgh Invitational where she became the first Mexican to win a Tour title.
2008 saw Teran break into the world's top 20 for the first time before she became the first Mexican woman ever to reach the semi-final of the World Championship in 2011.
Her 15th Tour title came at the Mexican Open and she starred in Colombia with another title two years later at the Abierto Colombiano de Squash Club El Nogal with a victory over Victoria Lust in the final.
She reached the semi-final of the Winter Club Women's Open in January 2015 but threw away a two-game lead to Heba El Torky.
Teran then reached the semi-finals not long after of the Abierto Colombiano de Squash Club El Nogal when she was defeated over four games by Catalina Pelaez.
The Mexican was then a semi-finalist in 2016 at the Slaight Music Granite Open where she lost out to Canadian Samantha Cornett over four games.
