Malaysian starlet Aifa Azman already has seven titles to her name whilst still playing on the Tour as a teenager.
Azman made her debut on the Tour in 2014, and played solely on the Malaysian Tour for the first few years of her career, as she started to make her way in the game. She made a couple of semi-final appearances in 2015 and 2016, before her big break came in 2018.
That year, she won four times on the Malaysian Tour, including winning three consecutive events. Thanks to that run of form, she broke inside the top 100 for the first time, and after three more wins in 2019, that improved even further.
Azman was victorious twice on Australian soil, winning the Roberts & Morrow North Coast Open and the Squash Melbourne Open, before she featured in the main draw of the Women’s World Championships for the first time, reaching the second round of the event.
The Malaysian then claimed a seventh win on Tour before her 19th birthday, as she won the International Squash Classic in December 2019, beating Farah Momen in the final. She broke inside the top 60 for the first time in her career thanks to that win, but only played in one event in 2020, reaching the semi-finals of the Jaipur Leg on the HCL SRFI Indian Tour.
