An affiliate of the World Squash Federation (WSF), the Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the global governing body responsible for the administration of both men’s and women’s professional squash around the world.

With over 1,050 registered players and over 200 events taking place around the globe every year, the PSA World Tour showcases the game of squash at its highest level.

The PSA’s headquarters is based in Leeds, England, from where the tour is managed.

Senior Management Team

Alex Gough – Chief Executive Officer

Alex joined the PSA in 2008 after a 15-year career as professional squash player, where he reached a high world ranking of five, representing Wales at the Commonwealth Games and winning a bronze medal. Gough, who holds a first class honours degree in mathematics from Cardiff University, was instrumental in the set-up of SQUASHTV and its subsequent commercial success.

Lee Beachill – Chief Operating Officer

Lee is a former world number one squash player and Commonwealth Games gold medalist. Born in Yorkshire, he was part of the England squad that won the World Team Championships in 2005. After retiring from the professional squash circuit in 2009 due to injury, Beachill joined the PSA Senior Management Team.

Tommy Berden – Chief Commercial Officer

Tommy reached a career-high PSA World Ranking of 22 before retiring to become a promoter of numerous high-profile PSA tournaments including the 2011 PSA World Championship for men and women. Berden, who played a pivotal role in uniting professional men’s and women’s squash in 2015, is part of the PSA’s Senior Management Team and is responsible for all commercial matters of the PSA.


Hannah Ridgard-Mason – Tour Director

Hannah joined the PSA in early 2013, moving from her job as a PA and Sports Coordinator. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all administrative and logistical aspects of the PSA World Tour. Originally from Cambridge, England, Hannah has travelled extensively and also holds a first class honours degree in History.

Elliot Selby – Assistant Tour Director

Elliot joined the WSA in March 2011 and was the Tour Coordinator for the women’s tour for four years. Alongside Tommy Berden, Elliot oversaw the successful merger between the PSA and WSA in March 2015. Elliot then returned to playing on the PSA Tour full time, whilst working as a Tour consultant part-time. In December 2019, he returned to a full-time role with the PSA, as Assistant Tour Director. Elliot spends his free time playing padel on the LTA Padel Tour, as well as having a passion for travelling, the wilderness, cooking & films.

Jo Dutton – Tour & Office Coordinator

Jo has a background in administration and law and has worked for the PSA since 2015, initially as a Tour Administrator, and has more recently combining that with the role of office Office Coordinator.

Michael Batchelor – Tour Coordinator

Michael joined the PSA in 2019, having previously worked at the Rugby Football League as a Competition Administrator. A key part of our tour team, Michael helps manage all the administrative aspects of the PSA World Tour. He is from Leeds, England, and holds both a master’s in finance and a first class degree in Sports Business Management. 

Megan Somers – Tour Assistant

Megan has played an integral part in the administration of the PSA World Tour since joining the team in 2018, initially on an apprenticeship before joining the PSA full-time.


Tim Garner – Event Director

Tim joined the PSA in August 2013. After a professional squash career that saw him reach World No.26, Garner set up Eventis Sports with former World No.1 Peter Nicol and Angus Kirkland and organises the annual Canary Wharf Classic PSA event.

Andy Malley – Events & Operations Manager

Andy joined the PSA in September 2014 after graduating from Loughborough University with a First Class degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Malley is working to improve the quality of tournament delivery, create and implement tournament support strategies and manage operations across the PSA World Tour .

Jo Pollitt-Evans – Operations Assistant

Jo joined the PSA in September 2019 from her job as an Assistant Manager of TLG, a gymnastics facility based in Leeds. She graduated from AMDA, Los Angeles in 2015 and has since lived and worked across the globe. Jo will be providing assistance across Operations and SQUASHTV to support the constant growth of squash.

Ben Skidmore – Operations Assistant

A recent graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University, Ben started at the PSA in September 2019 within the expanding operations team. He has been given the lead on the live scoring, practice courts and the accreditation for the events on tour. During his time at university, he gained invaluable experience working at a summer camp in America for five years and within Wales Squash in a number of roles, most recently as a county league secretary for the local squash leagues.

Chris Truswell - World Squash Officiating Project Manager

After graduating from the University of Birmingham, Chris played on the PSA for 6 years reaching a ranking of No.116. Following this he worked outside squash in Business Development before moving back into the administration side of the game. He is currently managing the development of the new platform for World Squash Officiating; a joint venture between the PSA and WSF.


Sean Reuthe – PR & Media Manager

Sean began life at the PSA on a media placement in March 2014 before joining full time upon graduating the University of Huddersfield with a Sports Journalism degree. Sean now manages the PSA’s media department and oversees the association’s written, digital and social media platforms.

Ellie Mawson – PR & Media Executive

Ellie joined the PSA media team in 2017 from Rugby League side Huddersfield Giants. A Sports Journalism graduate from the University of Huddersfield, Ellie’s work in the PSA’s media department involves developing PSA’s social media strategy and heading up the media operations of the PSA Foundation.

Matt Coles – PR & Social Media Production Executive

Matt became part of the PSA media team in 2019 after spending time with the Planet Sport group. He graduated a year prior to joining the team, with a Sports Journalism degree from the University of Central Lancashire. Coles’ role includes updating the website, writing up tournament match reports and shining a light on the Challenger Tour.

Steve Line – Photographer

Steve began working as a freelance photographer in 1982, specialising in sports photography. He increasingly concentrated on squash, covering most of the major events around the world and supplying to all the leading organisations and commercial and media outlets within the sport. Since 2017 he has been contracted to the PSA.

SQUASHTV & Content

James Wilcock -Content Manager

Formerly a video journalist for Leeds United Television, James joined the PSA in 2014 to assist with all elements of SQUASHTV. Wilcock currently takes responsibility for the majority of highlights and features content across SQUASHTV and YouTube.

Nathan Clarke – Content & Features Producer

Previously a journalist with Singletrack Magazine and PR & Media Executive with The Rugby Football League, Nathan joined the PSA in 2013 as PR & Communications Manager. He now shoots and edits a wide range of video for SQUASHTV and other PSA channels and is also the editor of SquashXtra, the official magazine of the PSA World Tour.

Laurent Cossa – Creative Media Manager

Laurent has worked in sports-related TV since 1993, with involvement in windsurfing, wakeboarding and beach volleyball. Laurent joined the PSA in 2010, taking responsibility for SQUASHTV and has since become PSA’s Creative Media Manager.

Dan Dobby – Production & Content Editor

Leicester-born Dan joined the PSA in 2016 after starting his career at Leeds United Television as a Production Assistant. Brought in to assist with the growing number of tournaments SQUASHTV covers, Dan is responsible for producing match highlights, features and other video content used on SQUASHTV, YouTube and live broadcast events.

Sarah McLaughlin – Multi-Skilled Operative

Sarah is a Multi Skilled Operator on the PSA World Tour and joined the company in 2019. She moved to Leeds to work for the PSA after graduating with a Master’s degree in Broadcast Production from the National Film School Of Ireland. Sarah’s work at the PSA involves being the replay operator across various systems creating live replays, packages, highlights and closers for the sport’s broadcast events. Sarah also directs some of the early round and quarter-final matches at events with a full broadcast team.

Alex Hall – Broadcast Media Assistant

Alex initially worked in online broadcasting for motorsport organisation Alpha Live from 2016 before joining PSA, while he later graduated from the University of Leeds in 2018 with a Media and Communications degree. Alex has also worked as a content editor for Titan eSports and now works as a live broadcast assistant and content editor for SQUASHTV.

James Bowes – Broadcast Media Assistant

James joined the PSA in July 2019 after completing A-Levels in Business, Politics and Media and Computer Science. After a year working as an intern with SQUASHTV, he now works permanently at the company editing video content for the website and social platforms as well as assisting with live broadcasts on the PSA World Tour.

Marketing & Commercial

Amyj Rutherford – Marketing Manager

Amyj joined the PSA in April 2018. A graduate from Teesside University, Amyj’s work involves promoting professional squash, growing the sport’s fanbase and publicising SQUASHTV.

Konstantinos Mitsimponas – Marketing Assistant

Konstantinos studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Macedonia in Greece and did his master’s in Sports Events Management at Leeds Beckett University. He has worked in various sporting events in Greece, as well as in basketball teams. Konstantinos joined the PSA in January 2020 to assist with the execution of the PSA’s marketing strategy. He manages the PSA database in the company’s CRM, develops email communication and executes SEO strategy.

Chris Baird – Partnerships Manager

Chris joined the PSA in December 2016 from b-focused where he worked with Team GB prior to & during Rio 2016. He graduated in 2014 from Leeds Metropolitan University where he studied Sports Business Management. Throughout his degree he worked on a number of PSA World Tour events. Chris is responsible for managing relationships with PSA’s existing partners and looking for new partnership opportunities.


Adriana Olaya – Foundation Manager

A native Colombian, Adriana’s involvement in squash bloomed in college as a member of the Mount Holyoke College Varsity Team in Massachusetts, USA. She started her career in Human Resources immediately after receiving her degree in Politics, International Relations and Latin American Studies before pursuing a master’s in Marketing of Sports and Event Management in Kedge Business School in France. As the PSA’s Foundation Manager, Adriana manages all of the Foundation’s activities in order to change lives through squash.

Jordan Jefferies – Foundation Executive

Jordan started his role with the Foundation in January 2019 with a focus on fundraising, grass-roots sports development work with the PSA Tour and managing the Foundation membership base. Formerly a student at Cardiff Metropolitan University studying Sport Management at undergraduate and master’s levels, Jordan has experience of working in national governing bodies within the public sector.
